The Colombian Air Force launched a requeriment in 2013 for a new camouflage pattern for its parachutists’ coveralls. The goal was to design a pattern with a gray palette that matched the parachute gray colour. The result is the Sistema de Camfulaje Táctico Aeronáutico (Aeronautical Tactical Camouflage System) maufactured by Fabricato and presented in 2015.
The desired goal of the SICTA pattern was to make parachutist less noticeable while falling in the sky. But the result looks like an urban pattern,as it will be used by Colombian Air Force security personnel on the ground.
The SICTA pattern has been adopted also by the Colombian Marines, but using a differente colour palette.
In fact this camo pattern of the Colombian Marines (infantes de Marina) is absolutely useless in most or our enviroments. Its too light and dont blend well in the jungle or woods.
Colombia is a greenish country and those patterns like Multicam, Atacs FG and this Marine Camo parttern only works in a few small regions.
